Old Business:
- Candlelight Bowl sign-up sheets were posted in roll call room. Get your teams formed and pick your lanes. The format is as in years past, two regular games and a "Dutch Couples" game. The cost will be $50 per couple, which includes the three games and food before the bowling. B. Tannehill and D. Corrigan will be in charge of getting together all of the raffle and door prizes. Check your attics and other surroundings for any items you want to donate for the door prizes. Also, check with any friendly businesses for possible donations to the cause and drop it off with one of the EPBAA officers;
- Relay For Life will be held on June 16th, 2006. L. Panico is running the event at the PD and if you need more info see her at the High School;
New Business:
- Out of 70 ballots for the elections only 16 were returned. There were two write-in votes, K. Lafin for the President and J. Dudek for the Secretary. Both declined the nominations and as a result the current Board will stay on for the additional two years. Motions by Lucchini and Lafin were passed;
- A motion for donation to the Friends of DuPage County Children's Center was passed (Ciszewski, Lafin) with the stipulation the tickets obtained as a result of the donation will be returned to be used by the families of the children at the banquet;
- A motion for donation to purchase 10 tickets for a Spaghetti dinner was passed (Tannehill, Burroughs) to help the family of Glendale Heights officer Rob Mullany who was diagnosed with stomach cancer. A note will be placed in the Snitch for interested members to obtain the tickets;
- A donation request for Tim Sheehan, an Arlington Heights officer hurt in an on-duty traffic accident, was tabled until the next meeting;
- The Executive Committee will set limits for any future donations to different causes to allow for more uniform distribution of the donations;
- The EPBAA will look into holding a picnic this year at the York Woods in Oakbrook with possible pig roast. More details to come in the future.
The meeting was adjourned at 2007 hrs (Carr, Corrigan) and the usual food and beverages were served.
