EPBAA Meeting Minutes for September 28th, 2005
The September meeting of the EPBAA was called to order at 1921 hrs. It was attended by 20 members, which included 6 retired members.

The Minutes from the June meeting were read and approved (motions by O'Connell, Smith).
The Treasurer's report was read and approved (Smith, Zaroogian).

The Correspondence included thank you letters from Kristin Burroughs for the scholarship check, Josh Johnson for our donation toward his special wheelchair, Special Olympics for our donation, Margaret O'Connell from the Friends of DuPage Children's Center for our donation, & Doc Jev for the sponsorship of his golf outing.
Included, also, were two donations to our fundraiser, one from Donald Nathan and the other from Carol Richard.
Old Business:
- We are still in process of looking for the new equipment for the weight room;
- The guidelines for the Scholarship awards are still being worked on.
New Business:
- Dan Gibbons sent a letter-donation request for the annual Turkey Trot. A donation was passed (Lafin, O'Connell);
- Special Kids Day hosted by Elmhurst Camera was given a donation (Schweik, Corrigan);
- Mike Reiman talked about his daughter, Melissa, taking part in this year's Miss Illinois Teen USA pageant and was approved for a donation. (Gandy, Schweik);
- A donation was given to another contestant, Elmhurst resident S. Hill after a vote of 6 Yeas and 5 Nays (O'Connell, Lafin);
- A donation was given to C.P.A. Alumni Assoc. for bottled water for their meetings (Lafin, Corrigan);
- There are 3 Katrina Evacuees residing in Elmhurst and Pres. Weatherford will look into any possible help they may need from the EPBAA;
- The Awards dinner is being looked at being held in early November at Diplomat West or American Legion site, which was brought up by K. Lafin. Further details will be followed on; &
- A motion by Secretary Ciszewski to match the donation collected by the EPD officers for the Waveland, MS police officers was passed and $1400 will be donated with a stipulation it is for the individual officers only (Ciszewski, Nicholas).
The meeting was adjourned at 1957 hrs (Kazarian, Poli) and the usual pizza and beverages were served.
Next meeting is scheduled for October 26th, 2005 at 1600 hrs at the same location, KC Hall.
