Candlelight Bowl
On 4/29/06 we had our annual Candlelight Bowl at the Wheaton Bowl. This year, the event was attended by approximately 100 people who bowled a total of 3 games, last one being the always fun "Scotch Doubles" game. All of the monies collected from the raffle tickets and entrance fees went towards the EPBAA's scholarship fund (after deducting the costs). We would like to extend our thanks to the Wheaton Bowl personnel as well as to all of businesses who, generously, donated items for our door prizes. Thank you to Ed Coughlin who located and took care of reserving the site and to Pres. Weatherford and Treasurer Corrigan for their work during the event. Below are several photos from the event. Fabruary 7th, 2006
The annual Candlelight Bowl, which funds our scholarship fund, will be held at the Wheaton Bowl on April 29th, 2006. We are looking for donations for door prizes. If anyone has any items they would like to donate as door prizes for the event, please contact one of the EPBAA officers at the Elmhurst PD. Tickets for the event will be available for purchase in the near future. Stay tuned to the website for future announcements.

Turkey Trot
On Thursday, 24th of November, several of the EPBAA members along with some of the CPA Alumni staffed the annual Water Hole at the halfway point of the Dan Gibbons' Turkey Trot. Here's a link to the rest of story.

EPBAA Awards Dinner
The second, annual EPBAA Awards Dinner was held on Friday, November 18th, at the Diplomat West in Elmhurst. Over 80 guests attended it. The night started with a cocktail hour, which was followed by a family-style dinner. After dinner Chief Neubauer and Deputy Chiefs Doherty and Panico presented the awards. The big winners were the members of the C.O.P.P. unit who garnered the largest number of awards. Job well-done guys! The entire award presentation took over two hours and three glasses of water for the Chief. The evening was capped by dancing to the tunes of a DJ and his crew. The evening was well organized and big "thank you" goes out to President Weatherford for putting and coordinating this event. Below you can see some photos from the event.

EPBAA Golf Outing
The golf outing took place on the 18th of August at the Sugar Creek Golf Course in Villa Park. The midday rain looked as if the outing may have had to have been postponed, but after the skies have cleared about 30 golfers teed off from the first tee. We had several friends of our members in attendance as well as our Chief Neubauer and retired Deputy Chief Smith. Deputy Chief Doherty was able to join us for dinner. During the dinner, retired Cmdr. Turek received a plaque from Chief Neubauer, thanking him for the many years of work and dedication to our Department. The outing was a success and from the attached pictures it looks as if everyone has enjoyed themselves. Thank you to Sgt. Lucchini for organizing the outing, to the Sugar Creek G.C. for their hospitality, and to DiLeo's restaurant who catered our food after the outing. Here's a link to the photos.

The annual EPBAA golf outing will be held on August 18th, starting at 1:30pm with foursomes teeing off every 8 minutes until 3:30pm. The event will be held at the Sugar Creek Golf Course and the cost is $30 per person, which includes cart. Any interested people must pay the fee by August 15th to Sgt. Lucchini at the Elmhurst PD. E.P.B.A.A. Meeting on May 24th, 2005
The monthly meeting of the EPBAA was held at the Elks Lodge on May 24th, 2005. We had 13 members, which included 4 retired officers. Mike Burroughs' wife, Barb and his daughter, Kristin, were also in attendance.
