E.P.B.A.A. MEETING MINUTES FROM 10-14-09

Meeting called to order at 15:30 in the police department training room. Pledge of Allegiance was said and all agreed future meetings will be opened with the pledge.

Guest speaker, Heather Stalker from Special Kids Day, spoke briefly about the organization and who they benefit.

The Treasurer’s report was read by Treasurer Tannehill and accepted by the membership.

The Minutes from 08-18-09 were read by Secretary Rivkin and accepted by the membership.

OLD BUSINESS:

One Small Voice sent a letter of thanks for our donation.

S.O. K. Blasky sent a letter of thanks on behalf of her brother who is still deployed in Iraq.

Fund Raiser after expenses netted not as much as in years past.  Some discussion about reducing donations slightly to reflect lower fund raising in order to meet yearly donation requests.

Hawks Game is scheduled for 10-26.  All of the tickets have been sold.

Metro-Family Services sent a copy of their yearly financial supporters, E.P.B.A.A. was listed.

NEW BUSINESS:

Three Executive Decisions were made prior to the meeting: AAIM donation, Turkey Trot donation, and two new bicycles for the annual walk/roll to school event at Sandburg Middle School.  Some discussion over the possible fallout in the coming years from other schools wanting bikes.  Final decision was tabled until that time comes and requests come in.

Candle Light Bowl: Prizes were discussed, still in need of more prizes.

Pop Machine in basement, looking for a key or owner to see if EPBAA can use.

Watering Hole for Turkey Trot- No request has been made yet, where will the water come from?

Donation requests: Special Kids Day- a donation was motioned by Steve W., second by Brad L. with Tom T. opposed.  Elmhurst Walk-In Ministry- a donation was motioned by Ken L., second by Guy S.  Sgt. Burroughs is a rep and will be given the check.

Meeting ended at 16:15.
