Candle Light Bowl is approaching and raffle tickets were sent to the printer. Main prizes range from a 42” plasma TV to a signed football and cigar from Ditka’s Steakhouse. As an incentive to sell more tickets, a $50 gift card will be awarded to the member who sells the most tickets prior to the event.
NEW BUSINESS:
The pop machine in the basement – motion by Ken Lafin and seconded by Jim Kveton to contact the last known company and request permission to use the machine at no cost or remove it. No opposition.
DuPage County Sheriff requested our contribution to this year’s Shop with a Cop event, December 12th. A motion by Dan Buenz and second by Dennis Kazarian for $300 was made, no opposition. This will permit three children from Elmhurst families experiencing tough financial times to accompany three police officers in three squads to the event. Pictures and lunch will be provided to the kids chosen.
The Chicago Wolves hockey team contacted President Coughlin and inquired if the E.P.B.A.A. was interested in a group outing. A short discussion was held and March was thought to be a good time for this. Possible cost would be $45 with bar, prior to the event, and $25 without. Future plans and discussions will be had on this subject.
A discussion on nominations for the E.P.B.A.A. officer positions was held and further review of the bi-laws was needed before next meeting.
There were two raffles conducted: one for 5 winners of Red Box movie rentals (2 each) and the other for four, $25 gift cards to Honey Baked Ham. Lucky winners of the gift cards were Brad Lucchini, Guy Schweik, Brad Wilcoxon, and Paul Carney, who donated his to the Candle Light Bowl event. Thanks Paul.
