Candlelight Bowling
The annual Candlelight Bowl took place on Saturday, January 16th, at the Wheaton Bowl. The event was well attended with 59 couples taking part in the event, which benefits our scholarship fund. After a dinner of pizza, 20 lanes were taken over by our group for three games with the final one being the famous “Scotch Doubles” game. During the evening, numerous door prizes as well as the raffle prizes were given out to all of those in attendance. The grand prize of a 7-night stay in Orlando, Florida went to a friend of the organization, Heather Stalker. Other winners included:
Karey Riley – 42″ flat screen TV;
Mike Campise – 2 Blackhawks tickets with an autographed puck by one of current Hawk players;
Mike Deardurff – 2 tickets to a dinner at Drury Lane in Oak Brook;
Brent Bierman – 6 tickets w/dinner to Zanies Comedy Club;
Jim Kveton – 1-night stay at Sybaris;

Scott Lange – $100 gift card to Francesca’s;
Al Ortiz – Football autographed by Mike Ditka and a cigar; &

All in all, the event was a success and profit that was made will help with college expenses for kids of our members. Great thanks to the EPBAA President, Ed Coughlin and rest of the officers, Bob Tannehill and Dave Rivkin, for their time in putting together this event and to many people and businesses who donated prizes for the event. Without their generosity, a successful event would not be possible. Some photos from the event can be seen here.
